SME Corp. Malaysia has been mandated to implement the assistance for Halal Certification which is also known as Reach Out To Entrepreneur Programme (ROTE) to assist MSME companies in Malaysia in obtaining halal certification.
The assistance provided is in the form of grants for the costs involved in obtaining halal certification with maximum value of RM10,000.00 per company.
Scope of Financing
- Cost of training for Halal Certification
- Cost for appointment of Consultant for Halal Certification
- Halal Certification fee
- Cost of product analysis (Lab test)
- Cost for purchase of equipment related to Halal Certification
Eligibility Criteria
- Possess valid certificate of MSME Status.
- Has submitted application for Halal Certification in 2022 - 2024
IMPORTANT NOTES
- The funding is based on reimbursement basis. Companies need to make full payment for the related scope and submit claim to SME Corp. Malaysia using the Claim Form provided in the Letter of Offer. Claims must be submitted with supporting documents (receipts, invoices etc.)
- Claimable costs are costs paid to suppliers within the period of 1 January 2022 - 31 December 2024.
- Only companies that are approved and received the Letter of Offer are eligible to submit claims.
- Participations of companies is subject to availability of the fund.
- The Secretariat reserves the right to reject any applications that does not meet the eligibility criteria.
