Background

One of the ongoing initiatives by SME Corp. Malaysia to develop microenterprises in the country.

Objective
 Aims to provide competitive skills and technical support for microenterprises to enhance their business efficiency.

• The target group is microenterprises with annual sales of less than RM300,000 OR less than 5 full-time employees.

1. COMPETITIVE SKILLS:

• Competitive skills in business that can increase efficiency, competitiveness and / or improve product and service offerings.
• Focus areas include among others (but not limited to):
  •  financial management, accounting & taxation
  •  marketing techniques especially digital marketing
  •  operational management including human resource
  •  artificial intelligence (AI)
  •  other skills that can increase business productivity and competitiveness according to industry requirements.

2. TECHNICAL SUPPORT:

Technical Support to enhance efficiency of microenterprises which include:

1. Digitalisation & Automation
   Business digitalisation solutions / cloud computing such as:
   • E-commerce and digital marketing adoption
   • E-marketplace management
   • Point-of-Sale (POS) System
   • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
   • Other technology adaptations and related applications to improve business efficiency.
     
     
2.  Business Capacity Building
   • Adapting the use of computerized software/applications related to business management including accounting systems.
   •  Business-related equipment and hardware
     
     
3. Smart Farming, Green Economy / ESG
   • IOT technology
   • Implementation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG)
   • Centralized agricultural system.
   •  Adaptation of the latest technology in agriculture

• Not limited to the areas of improvement listed only.
• Priority to projects that have technological adaptation elements that can improve business efficiency.
