Background

Micro Connector Programme 2.0 is one of the ongoing initiatives by SME Corp. Malaysia to develop Micro Enterprises in the country.

Objective
Micro Connector Programme 2.0 aims to provide technical support for Micro Enterprises to increase productivity and to run business more efficiently.

Focus Area
Technical support to improve business efficiency and productivity in the following areas;

  • digitalisation & automation; including solutions based on cloud computing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), stock management, e-commerce, digital marketing & cyber security;
  • smart farming;
  • enhance financial capacity including adoption of computerised accounting system; and
  • other area that can increase productivity as well as improve product and service offering.

 

Note:

  • Priority is given to project with elements of technology adoption to improve business efficiency
  • Micro Connector Programme 2.0 does not focus on entrepreneurship and skills training programmes.

 

Target Group
High potential Micro Enterprises with annual sales between RM150,000 - RM300,000.

 

Basic eligibility criteria for Delivery Partners of Micro Connector Programme 2.0

Delivery Partner must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Registered Business with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) under the Companies Act 1965 or 2016.
  • Operates in a business premise with a valid business license from the Local Authority.
  • At least 60% equity owned by Malaysian.
  • Submit latest Audited Financial Statements of at least one (1) year.
  • Validation of MSME status if under the category of MSME. (or at least the applicant is required to submit an application for MSME status before the closing date of Expression of Interest (EOI)).
  •  Has experience in related fields of at least five (5) years except for fields related to digital technology
  • Has sound financial capabilities.

 

Invitation
Company interested in applying as Delivery Partner (DP) of Micro Connector Programme 2.0 are required to:

  1. complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) form online before 9 December 2022.  (Link: https://forms.gle/v6cguf1KKhRQ2CPz8)
  2. attend the Briefing Session of Micro Connector Programme 2.0 on 15 December 2022.
  3. submit application documents and project proposal latest by 27 December 2022.

 

Only application forms and project proposal from companies that have attended the Briefing Session shall be processed and evaluated.

SME Corp. Malaysia reserves the right to accept or reject any Expression of Interest (EOI) submission. Companies with a potential Expression of Interest (EOI) will be considered for the next stage. The final selection shall be made by SME Corp. Malaysia Selection Committee and the decision made Committee is final.
