The Global Drone Conference & Hackathon Kuala Lumpur 2020 (GDCKL2020) was held on 2 & 3 March 2020 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC). With the theme "Asia’s Flightpath: Future Growth, Industry Verticals", GDCKL2020 brought together 38 local and international drone industry experts to discuss and explore strategies and way forward for the efficient use of commercial drones in Malaysia and Asia.
Among the activities in GDCKL2020 is exhibition on drone airframes, software, sensors and services, artificial intelligence (AI), multi-purpose internet (IoT), robotic solutions and other support services such as financial and business advisory services.
Apart from conference and exhibition, the GDCKL2020 which was officiated by YBhg. Dato ’Sri Syed Hussien Al Habshee, Chairman, SME Corp. Malaysia, also featured the participation of ten (10) drone entrepreneurs in the 'Pitch Your Drone Service' session.
Also organised during the GDCKL2020 was the 'Drone Hackathon Challenge' in which a total of 31 participants participated in the challenges of artificial intelligence & drones, last data miles and data ethics & drones.
This programme which was organised by SME Corp. Malaysia in collaboration with Best Events Productions Sdn. Bhd. has recorded over 500 visitors, participants and exhibitors as well as participation from countries such as France, Australia, Singapore, India, Nepal, Japan and Indonesia. |
