Kuala Lumpur: Labuan Shipyard & Engineering (LSE) proudly received a 5-star rating award under SCORE (SME Competitiveness Rating for Enhancement) that was presented by Malaysia Defence Minister, Dato' Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein at the 15th Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2016 Exhibition and Conference which was officially launched Monday in Kuala Lumpur.
The 5-star rating was awarded for the Manufacturing & Maintenance, Repairing & Overhaul Model under the SCORE assessment developed by SME Corp in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) Malaysia and is the highest rating under the assessment.
Under this rating definition, LSE has proved that it possesses a business that is highly automated, demonstrates good branding or packaging in its products and services and conducts exports in compliance to export requirements.
LSE Director, Darhim Dali Hashim, who is also Group Chief Executive Officer of Radimax Group said, "it is indeed an honour for LSE to earn the recognition of the Malaysian government and certainly a great testimony to the talent and perseverance of our hardworking team in the highly competitive maritime and defence industry.
