The SME Annual Report 2016/2017 released on 29 September 2017 by SME Corporation Malaysia, Secretariat to the National SME Development Council provides an assessment on the performance of SMEs in 2016, prospects for 2017 and recent key developments affecting SMEs.
This year’s Report themed “Aligning SMEs to the Megatrend” highlights some of the Megatrends that will impact the SMEs, such as Digital Future and Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0), Rise of Entrepreneurship, Globalisation and Community Living. The Report covers four sections that is on overall economic assessment, SME development policies and programmes, special highlights and success stories.
