• Monitor the implementation of ICT Strategic Plan (ISP) which contains planning for the use of IT in supporting the achievement of SME Corp. Malaysia’s goals.
• Introduce and integrate cross functional processes between agencies to produce more efficient and effective services.
• Coordinate the development, operation and management of a complete and secure IT system and infrastructure based on modular features, connectivity, interoperability and portability.
• Determine the direction of the agency’s application system to reduce the time and cost of development, maintenance and operation.
• Preserve the integrity of electronic data, encourage information sharing and provide methods for the disseminating information electronically to authorized users, whether within or outside SME Corp. Malaysia.
• Member of the Planning and Development Committee or the Main Committee which formulates the policy and is directly responsible to the Secretary General.
• Promote the effective and cohesive use of IT to achieve the strategic goals of SME Corp. Malaysia and act as agents and pioneers of change (Champion of Change).
• Lead and involve SME Corp. Malaysia in government efforts to develop and implement public sector IT projects that lead in the management and administration of public service
• Carrying out the responsibility of ensuring the security of ICT assets; Determine ICT security requirements; and
• Develop and coordinate the implementation of training plans and awareness programs on ICT security.

Reporting of entrepreneurship and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) development programme through SME Integrated Plan of Action (SMEIPA) has been implemented since 2006. The main objective of SMEIPA is to coordinate, monitor and evaluate the implementation of entrepreneurship and MSME development programmes by Ministries and Agencies. Programme monitoring through SMEIPA is footing through programme achievements in the previous year as well as planned programme in the current year. The SMEIPA 2023 edition that was released in September 2023 focuses on the Government's continued support towards MSMEs, helping them withstand challenges and sustain their businesses, with the theme, ‘Progressive, Innovative, Inclusive and Sustainable MSMEs'.

The SMEIPA 2022 edition that was released in June 2022 focuses on the recovery of the MSME which is expected to gather momentum in 2022 amid prevailing uncertainties and low consumer confidence, with the theme, ‘MSMEs Towards Sustainable Recovery’.
