KAF Rabbitaries initiated the Rabbit Farming IB Project upon realizing that rabbit meat is a growing livestock industry in the country as opposed to other animal husbandry namely poultry. This project is aimed at eliminating dependency on the job market which offers little opportunity post-Covid and KAF identifies participants from the suburban population in the District of Muallim comprising B40 community, rural and village folks who are seeking to improve their livelihood. It also provides an alternative source of income to support households while addressing the rising cost of living. KAF offers a guaranteed buy-back scheme to the participants and through this project, KAF’s package of assistance include rabbit’s cage and, its breeds and feeds. The rabbit meat items is processed by KAF to produce rabbit satay, meat floss, rendang and smoked rabbit, among others.
