KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 (Bernama) -- The Institute of Marketing Malaysia (IMM) recognised 16 marketeers with fellowships awards for their contributions to the growth and development of the association over the years.

IMM's President, Datuk Sharifah Mohd Ismail, said the awards signified IMM's commitment to shape a long-term relationship with its members as well as to expand its footprint as a strategic partner to serve the marketing fraternity in Malaysia.

"Today we recognised the outstanding accomplishments of 16 chief executive officers (CEOs), leaders, professionals and academicians in the country as well as a distinguished professor from Singapore, Director of the National University of Singapore Dr Hooi Den Huan," she said in her welcoming address at the IMM Fellowship Award Night 2016, here Saturday night.

The Sultanah of Pahang Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom presented the fellowship awards.

Among the fellowship recipients for this year are former Minister of International Trade and Industry Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz, President of Lim Kok Wing University Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing, CEO of SME Corp Datuk Hafsah Hashim and CEO of PLUS Malaysia Bhd Datuk Noorizah Abdul hamid.
