KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 22 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Halal Expo 2019 (MHE2019), themed “Malaysia to Japan for 2020 Olympics” is set as a trade platform for Malaysian SMEs to penetrate the Japanese market ahead of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Showcasing 320 exhibition booths by export-ready entrepreneurs in food and beverages (F&B), cosmetics, halal ingredients, logistics, biotechnology as well as personal care and pharmaceutical, one of the main highlights for MHE2019 is the Pocket Talk, an exciting series of knowledge sharing sessions by renowned speakers. A signature programme by SME Corp. Malaysia, these compact information sharing sessions is designed to engage smaller groups of small and medium enterprise (SME) audience and enable access to new information through sharing by speakers from various backgrounds and knowledge. The Pocket Talk sessions will feature an array of topics by representatives from both the Government and the private sector who are experts in their respective fields and not to be missed by SMEs and entrepreneurs who are keen to learn about the Japanese market as well as current business trends and requirements to do business in Japan.
Happening at Hall 4 of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in the main stage area, the first session is by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) on “Access to Financing for SMEs”, followed by a forum featuring EXIM Bank, Association of Islamic Banking Institutions of Malaysia (AIBIM) and SME Bank on “Financing for Export” and later a session by Dr. Aisha Solution and Nani’s Frozen Food Products to share their experience in a forum on "Sharing the Business Journey into Japan".
Among the topics that will be covered during the three-day event are “Business Checklist into Japan” by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), “Bringing Halal Products Through Smart Functions” by BCA Group, “HALAL Sells” by Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), “Japan Market and Halal” by Muslim Professional Japan Association (MPJA), “Halal Tech Funding” by Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) and “Understanding Your Product and Market for Tokyo 2020 and Beyond” by Acrosx Japan Incorporated.
Adding on to the experience for visitors is a cooking demonstration by Senior Chef of National Sports Council (MSN) as well as sharing session and appearances by local celebrity entrepreneurs featuring Faizal Ismail (FBI), Amy Search, Erma Fatima (Mak Cun), Munif Hijjaz, Datin Fouziah Gous and Fynn Jamal. Taking advantage of the fast-paced Internet and social media technology, Dbilique a digital content hub driven by Faizal Ismail (FBI) and Fara Fauzana will also conduct a live session with visitors and exhibitors at this inaugural event.
Malaysia Halal Expo 2019 is open to all and admission is FREE for all visitors. Visitors of all ages are invited to visit the Malaysia Halal Expo 2019 from 24 – 26 January 2019 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Hall 1 – 4. Visiting hours are from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
