On 15 – 17 November 2017, SME Corp. Malaysia had organised the SME Annual Showcase 2017 (SMIDEX) at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur.  Among the activities that was held during SMIDEX 2017 are Exhibition, SME Conference 2017 that was attended by 800 participants, Whaddahack, Pocket Talk Session and Business Matching Session.

This year, SMIDEX 2017 has succeeded in generating sales of RM555 million within the three (3) days of the business matching session and recorded the highest number of generated sales since the establishment of SMIDEX in 1997.  A total of 109 SMEs, 38 anchor companies and MNCs have participated in a total of 377 business matching sessions. SMIDEX 2017 was launched by YAB Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia on 16 November 2017. A townhall session was also held during the opening ceremony attended by SMEs.

DYAM Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim Tunku Mahkota Johor was keen to share his experiences and opinions in the "Royal Luncheon Talk" Session on the first day of SMIDEX 2017.

Datuk (Dr.) Hafsah Hashim, Chief Executive Officer of SME Corp. Malaysia followed by the Opening Ceremony of SMIDEX 2017 by the Honourable Prime Minister.
