On 30 November 2018, SME Corp. Malaysia was awarded with the SME100 SAMENTA Contribution to SMEs Award 2018. The award is hosted by SME Magazine in conjunction with the SME100® Fast Moving Companies Awards 2018. This inaugural category award is to highlight organisations or individuals that contributed to the development of SMEs in Malaysia in order to help both the recipient and audience to establish an awareness and encourage engagement between both parties. The evaluation and decision to choose SME Corp. Malaysia as the only recipient of this category award from 5 listed candidates was made by the panel of judges, based on surveys among SMEs, especially the SME100 award recipients.

The SME100 Awards since its establishment has served as a pinnacle of trust and benchmark of reliability among business owners. Be it business ventures, investors, or foreign and domestic clients alike, the award has become the beacon of attention on all platforms. Organised by SME Magazine, this annual recognition programme managed to uphold prestige for the dynamic market of SMEs through the SME100 Awards by naming the fastest moving businesses in the SME fraternity. The award ceremony was held on 30 November at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The award  received by Mr. Rizal Nainy, Deputy CEO of SME Corp. Malaysia.
